"Faces of Eve" is the ninth episode of RoboCop: The Series.
Plot[]
Dr. Apollinaire Monet of OCP's Aesthetica division, presents his product to the OCP board. The product, Eve, gives people instant, painless plastic surgery; the ability to look like anyone or anything they want. His colleague, Dr. Proctor, demonstrates the product in use, changing his own appearance before the board's very eyes. However, he forgets to take the firma-toner, causing part of his new face to rub off when he touches his cheek. He takes the firma-toner and his new face is restored. The Chairman is impressed until he learns that the new faces only last for three hours, but Monet explains that this is intentional so that customers would purchase more. The Chairman approves of the product when Monet assures Eve is safe.
Meanwhile, two men working for Pudface Morgan break into Aesthetica to steal Eve modules, one of them, Shorty, testing it out. From prison, Pudface sees an advertisement for Eve and plot to use it for his own ends: to kill RoboCop.
At Metro South, Sergeant Parks asks Charlie to take RoboCop off of his break so that he can serve as security for Judge Clarence Hall. Although Charlie is apprehensive, RoboCop willingly goes with Parks.
An Eve module is delivered to Pudface inside a serving of "extra spicy" spaghetti and meatballs. Meanwhile, Proctor reports the disappearance of two Eve modules to Monet, who is completely unconcerned with the potential dangers of the unaccounted for products. As they await Pudface's return, Shorty uses his module again.
RoboCop guards Judge Hall during the dedication of a new courthouse and spots Jimmy Murphy in the crowd. As he scans the crowd further, he spots a suspicious men with a stroller. He swiftly approaches, tossing the stroller in the air, where it explodes. He pursues the man as a boy with a fake-looking gun – actually one of Pudface's goons – shoots the judge. Jimmy tackles him, but he manages to slip away. The other goon escapes RoboCop by changing his appearance to that of a woman. Meanwhile, Pudface changes his appearance to the prison's warden and manages to escape.
Pudface scolds his goons for attacking the judge, as he only plans on taking RoboCop down. Mediabreak covers the attempted assassination, publicly identifying Jimmy as a witness. His mother Nancy sees this report and decides to call Parks, while Pudface orders his men to find Jimmy. A bunch of reporters practically break down the Murphys' door to get an interview with Jimmy, prompting Nancy and Jimmy to drive away. RoboCop goes to the Murphy home, finding it empty. As he looks at a family photo, outside, Pudface's goons kidnap Jimmy just as he and his mother return. They get away, but RoboCop manages to put a tracker on their van. He promises Nancy that he will find Jimmy. The goons take Jimmy back to their hideout and Shorty finds the tracker on the van.
An alarmed Proctor goes to Monet, who is horrified at his colleague's appearance.
RoboCop arrives at Pudface's hideout, finding two Jimmys, one of them the real one and the other Shorty, who begins to open fire on RoboCop. He places Shorty under arrest and frees Jimmy from his restraints just as Pudface hurls a wrecking ball into the building. RoboCop grabs the wrecking ball and is swung into the building, then dropped by Pudface. Pudface gloats over the damaged RoboCop, revealing that he was given the instructions to the cyborg's termination command sequence by Dr. Cray Z. Mallardo. Parks puts out an all-points-bulletin for Pudface, who disguises himself as Parks before driving away. Jimmy goes to RoboCop, offering to help fix him.
As Parks, Pudface goes to meet the Chairman, claiming "confidential police business. While Monet tries to help Proctor with the effects of prolonged Eve use – specifically effecting his ears – Pudface ties up the Chairman and uses his Eve module to change his appearance to the Chairman's.
RoboCop instructs Jimmy in making as much repair as possible. They plan to contact Metro South, but the TurboCruiser was stolen by Pudface, so Jimmy hotwires a pickup truck, with RoboCop showing disappointment that Jimmy would know how to do this.
Because the Eve system even duplicates retinal patterns perfectly, Pudface manages to gain access the Chairman's personal files in order to activate the termination sequence. The Chairman tries to convince Pudface to stop, but his pleas fall on deaf ears. RoboCop enters the office, but fails to arrest Pudface when he activates the termination sequence. He falls over and his systems begin to shut down. Pudface leaves to attend a meeting in the Chairman's stead. RoboCop manages to crawl to a data port and insert his spike in order to contact Diana. She accesses RoboCop's systems and messages Charlie for help. Gadget goes to get Parks to help Charlie gain access to OCP's SatNet.
At the meeting, Pudface suggests to the confused board that they "shake up" the competition, but the Chairman's assistant Aubrey Fox informs him that they have no competition. Pudface asks for a list of all of the company assets they can dump.
Monet continues his procedures, attempting to assure Proctor that he is making good progress.
Parks is unable to contact the Chairman, so Gadget and Parks convince Charlie to hack into the SatNet.
At the meeting, Pudface continues to make unreasonable demands of the company, but his real nose becomes visible again and he excuses himself.
Charlie uses his own "backdoor" password to access Robo's systems and cancel the termination sequence. With RoboCop fully restored, Diana disappears and Pudface returns to the Chairman's office with his own real appearance. RoboCop gets up and punches Pudface in the face, sending him crashing into an Eve display.
OCP cancels Eve, citing a need for further testing. Monet is dismissed over allegations of criminal fraud. Judge Hall presents Jimmy with a medal for assisting RoboCop. Nancy says she believes Jimmy's father would be proud of him, to which RoboCop responds, "I'm sure of it."
