RoboCop Wiki

Felix Webber was an OCP employee who was fired for conducting unauthorized research. Due to this firing, he sought revenge through various bombings.

Biography[]

Webber worked as a researcher at OCP and eventually began to experiment with spider venom to reverse baldness. For this unauthorized research, he was fired and began a string of bombings, with his targets being arranged in an orb web pattern. After subjecting the city to six months of terror, Webber was caught by Captain Russell Murphy and incarcerated at Henry Ford Center for the Morally Challenged. This series of bombings inspired a film titled The Mad Bomber of Old Detroit.[1]

He had a female black widow tattooed on his head and he escaped the Henry Ford Center twelve years later. He began to target locations in a sheet web pattern. He reported the first bomb himself, it being a relatively harmless bomb, which Murphy classified as a "joke." The second bomb was planted in Murphy's car, though he knew Murphy would survive it, wishing to just taunt him and leave him alive to witness the rest of his bombings, two of them proving successful.[1]

Webber met with an arms dealer and arranged to procure a nuclear bomb. He broke into the OCP headquarters with the bomb and danced around the board room until Stewart Granger and Lempke of the Anti-Corporate Terrorism Squad arrived. After showing them the bomb, he tied them up and demanded the Detroit Police Department to let him speak to the OCP Chairman. He told the Chairman that he had no demands other than revenge, then set the bomb to detonate in five minutes. Russell Murphy soon called, convincing Webber that the Chairman was being arrested for stealing Webber's research, firing him without proper cause, environmental destruction, consumer gouging, and selling faulty products. RoboCop then crashed through the window and knocked out Webber before defusing the nuke.[1]
