MagnaVolt

MagnaVolt was an automobile security product advertised during Mediabreak. Being an effective product, it was used in the murder of Simon Page, John Mills' campaign manager.[1]

Commercial[]

The commercial showed a car thief running through an underground parking lot, looking for a car to steal. He found one, popped the lock and jumped inside. Before he managed to hot-wire the car, he was trapped by two metal belts that shocked him to death. At this point, the camera panned upwards to show a salesman standing in front of the car: "MagnaVolt... the final word in auto security. No embarrassing alarm noise, no need to bother the police." The salesman then opened the door and the thief fell to the ground, his body still smoking. The salesman sat inside, started the car, and continued, "and it won't even run down your battery!" He drove the car away as the words "MAGNAVOLT LETHAL RESPONSE" came onto the screen.[2]
