Reggie Braga was a crime boss who used various businesses as fronts for his criminal activities.
Biography[]
After a raid on the Amazonia Nut Company, Braga was interviewed on Mediabreak, during which he denied any knowledge of a gunrunning operation at the facility. He had the lookout executed, as he suspected him of tipping off the Detroit Police Department.[1]
Braga hired The Magician to carry out the execution of the OCP Chairman and RoboCop. After the supposed success of RoboCop's killing, Braga paid the Magician – Tish Collier – as the group celebrated. However, RoboCop had eluded the attack and led another raid on the facility, with backup rounding up everyone in attendance, including Braga.[1]
Braga was active in illegal gambling, using a Lunchtime Louie food truck to operate this business. This extended to the National Scholastic Decathlon, paying Elliot "Pukey" Feldman in sweets to throw a match. Moments after paying off Feldman, Braga's primary competitor Vladimir Molotov entered with his men and prepared to kill Braga. However, they were interrupted by the vigilante Timothy Malloy and exchanged gunfire with him. After this event, Braga and Molotov decided to join forces, creating the largest crime syndicate in Detroit history.[2]
Twice more, Malloy tried to kill them, but RoboCop intervened both times. In the second, he brought backup and everyone was apprehended by the police.[2]
Braga attended a meeting with various other crime bosses, where OCP executive Billy Sullivan showed them the Law Enforcement Agency Data Exchange Relay (L.E.A.D.E.R.), a database designed for use by all law enforcement agencies across the planet. For $5 million, he offered each of them the opportunity to erase all of their criminal records from the system. As Braga prepared to pay up, RoboCop raided the warehouse, leading to the surrender of each crime boss. As police rounded them up, RoboCop told them that Sullivan was responsible for the raid, prompting Braga and the others to make threats toward him.[3]
